About Physio Fundamentals
Physio Fundamentals was created to support physical therapy students and clinicians who are expected to think regionally, reason clinically, and practice with increasing levels of autonomy.
Rather than presenting information in isolated fragments, Physio Fundamentals develops region-based study guides structured as cohesive monographs. Each guide integrates anatomy, biomechanics, examination, pathology, post-operative considerations, and therapeutic exercise into a single, organized reference designed to support understanding, retention, and clinical decision-making.
Founder
Physio Fundamentals was founded by Natalie Holland, PT, DPT.
Dr. Holland graduated cum laude from Liberty University in 2016 and cum laude from the Army–Baylor Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy in 2020. She served as a physical therapist in the United States Army for eight years before transitioning to the civilian sector.
Her military experience informed a practice model that prioritizes efficiency, accountability, and readiness for independent clinical decision-making in complex environments.

We Strive for Excellence
Our Philosophy
Effective physical therapy practice requires more than memorization. It requires the ability to synthesize information across systems, recognize patterns, and apply evidence-based reasoning in real clinical contexts.
The Physio Fundamentals approach emphasizes logical flow, clinical relevance, and organization at a level appropriate for both licensure preparation and autonomous practice. These materials are designed to complement formal education, clinical mentorship, and institutional training requirements.
Scope and Intended Use
The Physio Fundamentals guides are written at a level intended to support:
- Doctoral-level physical therapy education
- NPTE content review and regional synthesis
- Clinical reasoning expected in settings with direct access responsibilities
- Preparation for expanded clinical privileges and increased professional autonomy, including environments where physical therapists serve as first-contact providers
These materials are educational in nature and are not a substitute for credentialing processes, institutional privileging, or formal competency assessments. Clinical practice should always follow applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
Beyond the Guides
Physio Fundamentals is based in El Paso, Texas. Dr. Holland lives with her husband Nate, two dogs, and two cats. Outside of clinical and educational work, she enjoys nerding out over excel budget spreadsheets, gardening and mutual aid work to keep her community fed.
